That being said, it may not be for everyone, so let’s jump into the full dietitian’s review! I’m now a raving fan and have been using Hungryroot 1-2 times a month for a solid two years now. That being said, I’m calling Hungryroot the ONE I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR! To say I was impressed with this service is an understatement. So, I’m definitely not new to “meal kits delivery services” or what they typically offer and the minor nuances that differ between services. In the past, I’ve reviewed many organic meal kit delivery services, including Sun Basket, Daily Harvest, Green Chef, EveryPlate, Home Chef, Blue Apron, and Smoothiebox. I’ve been using Hungryroot for over two years and wanted to update this review! Note I originally wrote this post after trying just one box. Everything except the pepper and garlic clove is in the pictures.A Dietitian’s full review of the Hungryroot meal kit delivery service where healthy meets convenience but is it worth the cost? Also, note that it is 1 hotdog bun per serving. *fixed the pictures, I uploaded the same one twice. I was expecting at the very least to receive high quality food if the portions are that small. I am extremely disappointed in this companies product. If I were to buy the same products at a grocery store it would probably cost me ~$15 and I would be able to feed 4 people if not more. The food in the picture costs over $20 for that one meal through blue apron. Even though this saves the time of going to the store, it is just way overpriced for the portions.

Here is another picture with some of the items flipped over. It is basically 2 white hotdog buns 5.5 inches long, 1 red potato, a cut of meat no bigger than a single hamburger patty, a small cut of provolone, and maybe 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise. Here is a picture of this weeks philly cheesesteak dinner for two people. The portions are so small they should be ashamed of what they are sending out.

Absolutely not! We just canceled after 2 weeks of trying.
